After several friends and family have asked for my recommendations on my favorite facial products, I decided to do a round-up of products that I personally use and love. Let me first say that I have pretty normal skin. On occasion, my skin can be oily and during the winter months, like now, my skin can get very dry. But, all in all, it’s pretty normal.

When I found out I was pregnant, my skin went NUTS! I never really had to fight break-outs, but being pregnant changed everything. I had to figure out something fast because I was miserable. I started using TULA products and I’m not sure I will ever give it up. It was a lifesaver in limiting my easily irritated, oily, hormonal skin. I’ve linked the three main products that I use in my daily routine. You can certainly go overboard with all of the great products they have, but these three are my definite go-tos.  The Neutrogena Acne light seriously DID help (sometimes you just don’t know if these things will work or not!) when I had those horrible blemishes pop-up that were downright painful. The light helped alleviate the pressure and reduce the swelling.

Since I am a Kindergarten teacher, I don’t really wear a lot of make-up on a daily basis. I tend to stick with “less is best.” With that being said, I want to maximize my coverage without having to load on the product. These are the products that I have stuck by for quite some time and use every morning in my make-up routine.

I have the a tough head of hair. It’s not only thick and coarse, but it can be very dry and there’s a lot of it! Finding the right products has been a challenge over the years. The Oribe line can be quite pricey, but it has really worked on my hair. Using the Restore and Repair line has allowed me to add moisture back in my hair without it getting oily quickly. The trick is finding a product that moisturizers, but allows you to maximize the number of days between washes. The more I wash my hair, the harder it is to handle. Surprisingly, I also started using hot rollers again. After watching Dallas Wardrobe post about using hot rollers on her hair, I decided to give them another try. I found these 2-inch jumbo rollers at Ulta and love them! They don’t create major curls because of the large size, but simply amp up the volume on second or third day hair. I also LOVE this x-large round brush. I was watching the Today show one morning and Hoda was talking about this round brush being her favorite, so I jumped right online to order it. I haven’t used another round brush since! Finally, this hairspray is a product that I have used for YEARS! I’ve tried others, but always go right back to this one by Kenra. I promise you’ll love it!

I hope this beauty round-up has helped you find a new product that you love! I’m  NOT a beauty guru by any stretch, but I’m always happy to share what has worked for me.
