I’m back in Atlanta for the weekend and I couldn’t be more excited. While I love the beach, I left for the Memorial Day weekend in a frenzy. I wrapped up another school year, moved my classroom to storage, loaded the suitcases, and was at the airport within 48 hours. I was excited to escape to the beach, but it definitely sent my OCD into overdrive. So, I’m back in the ATL for a few days to mark off a few items on the ‘Summer Projects’ list and spend some time with Ben.
J.Crew has been and probably always will be the store that I run to when the seasons change or if I need a last minute outfit for an event. I worked there part-time for a few years before I got married. It was the best experience being on that side of retail. I learned a lot about piecing things together. It really pushed me out of my comfort zone. With it being almost officially summer, this embroidered linen top was one of my favorites from the recent roll-out. It’s lightweight and not too pricey, considering the detail.
What are your plans this weekend?
Have a good one!
It’s Graduation time! Graduation gifts are always so tough. Finding that one gift that is unique enough to stand out from all the others is important. Whether your graduate is heading off to college or beginning a new career, it is important to be punctual in this new chapter of life. This coming from someone who races the clock every. single. day to work!
That’s why I am so excited about my new zebra wood and champagne watch from Jord Watches. I love the uniqueness of my wood watch. I opted for the Frankie series, allowing me to have more of a statement piece with a larger face. The wide range of styles Jord offers allows you to find the perfect one for your graduate or friend. I’ve teamed up with Jord Watches to make finding that graduation gift easy for any graduate!

Ben and I had a productive weekend. We planted flowers all over, got a new rug for the patio and new bar stools for our island, cleaned out the attic, had dinner with neighbors on Saturday, and grilled out last night at the house for a low key Sunday night. A productive weekend always gets me in gear for the week ahead. It’s a little easier to wake up on a Monday knowing that I only have 3 more Mondays left until summer break! Can’t freakin’ wait! I’m ready to head to the beach!
These pants are the best pants! I can definitely see me wearing them during the summer to dinner and then again in the fall. They’ll definitely transition nicely from both seasons. They’re a comfy, easy to wear pair that fit pretty true to size. The ruffle detail around the waist band makes them different than other printed pants out there right now. I dressed them up with an ivory linen popover, but can easily see myself wearing them with a tank this summer or a chambray shirt this fall.
Have a great week and happy Monday! Thanks for stopping by!
I feel extremely fortunate that I work in a school that allows us to wear jeans quite often (definitely every Friday). I can’t exactly wear this particular distressed pair, but I can wear just about any other pair I own. It makes life so much easier when you have that casual option to turn to.
These jeans are by far my favorite weekend pair of jeans. They’re like wearing a pair of jogging pants. I paired them with this aqua linen top from J.Crew to make an easy-to-wear, run errands outfit. I shot this look with Shelby and ventured off to Target, the grocery store, and the pet store afterwards.
These sandals are a good knock off of the Valentino version for $27 and very comfortable!
What are your favorite jeans? I’d love to know. I am always on the lookout for a good pair!
Thanks for stopping by the blog. Have a great weekend!
